For my President's project, I have chosen a specialty item, a white guest towel imprinted with our DUV logo in blue. The guest towels are approximately 12" x 20", 100% linen and will make nice gifts to new members, officer gifts or that family member who has everything. They can be used as a guest towel, spread under a special item or lying on a table or spot where family and friends can see them. A limited number was made and some day, should be a collector's item.
Monies derived from the project will go toward our Building Fund. We have out grown our present facility at our National Headquarters and Museum in Springfield, Illinois. To properly display the memorabilia entrusted to us, we need a larger facility. Visitors to our Museum continue to increase due to the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield. We continue our search for land or a building to purchase which house our records and veteran's memorabilia on display. There is no admission charge to our Museum.
