Corporal Byrne’s grave site is at the crest of the hill between the paved road and highway 136.  The area immediately to the sides and behind the grave site will be for family, dignitaries, those in the services and Allied Orders.  The lower section to the North of the paved road will be for visitors.  The South side of the paved road will be for military or patriotic groups beginning with Civil War Units closest to the grave area.  Those with cameras taking pictures will have to stand in the visitor’s section since Guardian Angel Film Service has requested that no one with a camera be captured on their filming or the news media filming of the services.  The Press section will be located at the front and to the North side of the visitor’s area.  Please plan on arriving early.  Visitors are welcome to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, water bottles and sack lunches for their wait.  Portable microphones will help all to hear.  Porta potties will be available at the cemetery.  We want to make this a historic pleasurable experience for all who attend and yet honor Corporal Byrne with the utmost respect.  We thank those who have made their plans for visiting graves at the Memphis City Cemetery and various locations to be at other times during Memorial Weekend than during these services.
